I’ve always respected those who try to change the world for the better rather than just complain about it. It is, indeed, a matter of great satisfaction to me that my altruistic reverie, Sughra Shafi Medical Complex, Narowal has continued to provide treatment services of most of the diseases with high standards and with the help of the latest equipment, modern medical, surgical techniques and above all, the dedication and expertise of

the staff to poor and underserved people of Narowal who cannot afford to pay for these facilities. Over the years, SAHARA for Life Trust has been fortunate in receiving generous donations from a large number of people. This is most reassuring because it indicates the trust of donors in the quality of service and care provided by the Hospital. Nonetheless, it is in the area of operational expenses that the SSMC faces some problems because of a shortage of resources. Since treatment is provided virtually free of charge or in very subsidized rates, it means that any addition to the number of wards /beds and patients, perforce, entails an increase in the requirement of funds for running the Hospital satisfactorily. It is my fervent hope that people, particularly the more affluent, will come forward and share the burden of the SSMC, enabling it to continue the provision of humanitarian services to society. I, therefore, appeal to the donors to kindly contribute towards the setting up and strengthening of the advance medical facilities & services of SSMC. I remain indebted and assured of your trust and unflinching support with which SAHARA will continue to serve the people of unreached areas of Pakistan, giving a ray of light to those who have otherwise lost all hope.

As I reflect on the journey of our Trust, my heart is filled with admiration and gratitude for all those who have contributed to transforming a small dream from over twenty years ago into a remarkable reality. After the loss of my mother, I pledged to honour her legacy by helping the destitute. Today, the Sughra Shafi Medical Complex and the Sahara Medical Complex continue to provide essential medical care and education to the underprivileged in Narowal and its surrounding areas. We have been immensely blessed by the unwavering support of our donors. However, operational expenses remain a significant challenge due to limited resources. I express my very sincere appreciation to all those who love mankind and express this love by taking care of suffering humanity. SAHARA for Life Trust takes the pride in accepting the credit of successfully establishing &

operating Sughra Shafi Medical Complex Narowal (SSMC), a 600 bed General Hospital and so far more than 4.2 million patients have been treated free of cost. The cost of providing medical care in accordance with International standards is continuously on the rise and the annual budget is 665 million per year. A number of new equipment’s and resources are required for the better dispensation of health services at hospital. Another mega project of SLT is SAHARA Medical College with the aim to cater the healthcare needs of remote underprivileged areas by educating health care professionals to the highest international standards and stimulating innovation through research and discover, disseminate, and apply knowledge to improve health and reduce the burden of illness on society. SAHARA Medical College is entertaining a class of 100 medical students, with a planned expansion to 150 students. This college is serving as a subsidiary of the SSMC and subsidize the running cost of hospital. We are earnestly and continuously striving our best to scale newer heights in the pursuit of excellence, with an earnest and dedicated mind to uphold the noble profession and to flourish, year after year. We are committed to make available to the public the benefits of the most modern and technological developments in the field of medical sciences. The support of our valued donors including individuals, families, communities, organizations and well-wishers of Pakistan will play a crucial role in taking the Fund to its new height in the years ahead. I am truly indebted to all the donors both individual and institutional for reposing their belief in SAHARA for Life Trust. I am particularly appreciative to all Board of Governors, for their timely direction and continuous support. Finally I am enormously obliged and proud of the devotion and hard work being rendered by all the staff working in SAHARA for Life Trust, who worked determinedly round the clock to complete our mission.
