The first mega project of “SAHARA for Life Trust” is “Sughra Shafi Medical Complex Narowal”, a 600-bed General Hospital. SSMC provides state-of-the-art healthcare facilities to a population of more than 4.7 million in remote areas
The hospital is affiliated with PM&DC, the University of Health Sciences Punjab (UHS), PHC, and the Ministry of Health. All medical and surgical services including emergencies are offered 24/7 free of cost to poor and marginalized people of Narowal and around 5 million patients have been treated by the hospital so far.
In the last fiscal year, more than 5000,000 patients have been treated free of cost by considering all “Quality of health care standards”. The expected budget for the 2020-21 fiscal year would be 665 Million in Pak Rupees.
